Clean Up After Yourself

I can’t take credit for this but my best friend and her rather large family did this with awesome results!  They were on a mini family vacation and rented a condo for a few days.  They were sharing the condo with another family so they were at full capacity with the majority of them being under the age of 12.  The last day they were there, they stripped the beds and washed all the sheets and towels, mopped the floors, cleaned the bathrooms… you get the picture.  Then they left a card with a tip for the housekeeping crew explaining that they had had such a wonderful time that they wanted to share some of their pleasure by doing the majority of the work for them.  It turns out that housekeeping was one very overworked young woman who had pretty much lost her faith in people.  My friend’s act of kindness literally changed this young woman’s life.  A woman she had never met and probably never will.  This woman emailed my friend and told her that her faith in the goodness of people had been restored and that she was going to look for opportunities to do something for other people.  How awesome is that?!!
