      10Backyard Blessing
AnonymousMy husband is a pastor of a new church plant. For Pastor Appreciation month, the church sent us to a nice resort in town for the weekend. This alone was a wonderful gift. When we arrived back home, we were shocked to find a house full of people waiting to surprise us with a backyard make over. Little did we know that while we were away, a crew of several men...

AnonymousA older black woman was wondering around the Kum N Go station on Battlefield and National trying to find a ride back to her hotel on the northside of Springfield. Apparently she had been in Cox South getting treated for severly low blood sugar. Cox cut her loose with a paper smock and pants and socks. When I ran into her she her socks were wet from walking up National. She said they had given...

One individual standing beside another is the first part in forming a strong community. It's never too little. I will be a catalyst for change. I will be a leg up, an out stretched arm, a flashlight on a dark shoulder, an extra dollar when you come up short. Alone...a grain of...
